Dallas’ medical district is home to some of the most innovative and technologically advanced hospitals in the country. Not only does dallas have multiple facilities, but they are expanding on them every year making sure they are the most up to date in order to bring people the best medical service/attention they can get. These medical facilities attract almost 2.5 million patient visits per year.

Along with these great medical services there is also a thriving community that is continually growing. Recently a new Kroger grocery store was opened at 4901 maple ave. This new store has 73,000 square feet, and is located just inside the medical district. “A $12 million loan from the Dallas Development Fund (DDF) was instrumental in bringing this particular Kroger concept (or “Central Market-lite”) to town. And Central Market-lite it surely is. Walking through the store Saturday I immediately began suffering from senses overloaded — albeit the good kind. According to a release from the City of Dallas, DDF is a program aimed at stimulating private investments that provide jobs, services, fresh foods and reinvestments in areas with high poverty. This store employs 140-full time equivalent positions. The DDF received a $55 million allocation in 2009 and has leveraged about $35 million to date, part of which went to finance this Kroger Fresh Fare.” – Dallas Observer
All in all with everything going on the Medical District is a wonderful place to be and they have one of the best burger joints around, Maple and Motor. This burger joint is located at 4810 Maple ave. It’s always a good experience finding one of those hole in wall gems, and this place is no exception. With fantastic food at a fair price its worth the trip. With over 274 reviews on Yelp it has kept its four star rating, although most would agree it deserves five stars. Even the folks at Zagat were impressed enough to give Maple and Motor a 25 out of 30 on the zagat rating scale. Bottom line is, if you want a burger that is above the rest, make a trip to Maple and Motor over in the Medical District of Dallas.
